Its ok. I spent far too much time browsing books that I'm sure if I had spoken to more people I would have found out too!

Re: Enid Blyton Day 2012

I would certainly like to get a copy of the DVD about Enid Blyton's Beckenham years, though I'm not sure I want to order in advance - I'd prefer to wait until it's out. Does anyone know when that will be? All the leaflet says is it comes out in the summer Anita. Not too far away to wait. Pre-orderi...

Also, for some reason email notifications of posts about the day have stopped, so I didn't have those to remind me either!

Re: Enid Blyton Day 2012

So my first EB day has finished. I was very grateful to my sisters for coming with me as I hate going places on my own! I knew people would be friendly but I don't know how to approach people, especially when I do not know what they look like! Thank you to Daisy who noticed me first and introduced m...

Re: Journal 46

Look what I've started! lol. I have just finished reading the article on the Past and Present differences. I did mention in my last post about how I like reading it the way it was written and even though it might not be understandable or acceptable in todays society it shows how it was back then. I ...

By the way, I LOVE your avatar, KayleighLouise! :D Thanks :) that's only a few of my noddy memorabilia haha I know in northern England they do things differently. The way I was bought up w...

Re: Journal 46

It was very interesting and I enjoyed the comparisons of the similar stories.its a story I've not read for years and may have to dig out of my bookshelf! Do you think that the way Enid deals with the issues of...

Re: Enid Blyton Day 2012

I posted another eight Journals to you today, Kayleigh, so you should receive them tomorrow - plenty of reading there! You are quite right that the form should have had an age on it, but I believe it has always been under 16 for a junior. If you wait another two or three days you will find that tic...

Re: Enid Blyton Day 2012

I cannot believe I have only just found out about the Enid Blyton Society! I received my journal in the post this morning and would like to order tickets for the Enid Blyton Day but I can't find a definition of the age of a 'Junior'. My sister is 14 and would like to come with me but I don't know if...
