Re: At what age is it appropriate to start dating?
Brilliant, Pippa-Stef. I loved the Blyton-like feel of it. Not to mention the fact that Julian didn't get on my nerves, for a change!

Re: At what age is it appropriate to start dating?
Hope189 wrote Incidentally, a couple of days ago, my mom recounted a conversation she recently had with one of her colleagues. This particular person told my mom that Enid Blyton was one of the only authors she would let her children, aged 13&11, read, as it contained "no dating nonsense&q...

Re: At what age is it appropriate to start dating?
I come from a small town in South India, where the people are pretty conservative. Arranged marriages are still the norm here and dating at ANY age is frowned upon. Not that it stops the younger generation, though. Half the kids date behind their parents backs. My parents are one of the rare few who...

Did someone just mention my name? :D Down in South India, most people don't have surnames. They are given just one name with the...

Re: My Enid Blyton Bookcase!
I am drooling over those books. It has been months since I saw a Blyton book. All my Blytons are hundreds of miles away at home. As much as I've tried, it's nearly impossible to find a Blyton around here. I can't wait to go home during my mid semester break and sink my teeth into a bunch of my belov...

Thank you, guys. Reading your posts made me feel so much better.
I never feel bad when people make derogatory comments at me. It hurts the most when those comments are directed at someone I love.

Re: Highlights, 2012
Don't be tempted to err from the straight and narrow. Hold your head high and don't be ashamed when you look in the mirror. They are the losers, not you. Is it too much to hope for that one day people will be seen as people and judged by their deeds - not by the colour of their skin or hair; whethe...
