Happy Birthday, Nigel!
Bill: "I don't know what to say. You're only kids — but you're the finest company of friends anyone could have. You know the meaning of loyalty already, and even if you're scared you don't give up. I'm proud to have you for my friends."

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Belated thanks to you all for the birthday greetings! Yes, the lager-supping dog appeared on my Facebook page, courtesy of Chrissie! For those wondering about Julie's card:
Patient: It's no good, Doctor; I'm hopelessly addicted to Twitter
Doctor: I don't follow you...
We took the train to Bradford-on-Avon, had lunch at the wonderful Canal Lock Inn and had a wander around the town. A delightful Wiltshire town. We found a bookshop that had a huge "barn" at the back of the shop. I was treated to a News Chronicle Boys' and Girls' Annual by Enid Blyton, Two volumes of Margaret Thatcher's autobiography and a book on long lost Cornish railways. All of this for £11!
