I posted a photo of our cat Ruby on another thread - but here's a photo of her. She turned up at our house as a fairly young kitten (only maybe two or three months old) and although we tried to trace the owners, we had no luck - though secretly we were rather glad, because after a few days we had fallen in love with her and wouldn't have wanted to let her go.

One thing she has always enjoyed is chasing a stick. If you let her chase after a twig and then throw it, she'll go after it, pick it up in her mouth, and bring it back. We've never had a cat who did that before - and she didn't need teaching either!

Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'

Ruby is very cute, Rob! 8)
Cats are so playful.

I used to have a fairly young and longlegged orange tiger cat in Maine who came and stayed one day, I called her Delilah (as we already had another older orange tiger cat called Samson who resembled a small lion and who came into the barn and stayed for years). Samson did not let her sleep inside the barn, so Delilah slept on the porch.
Whenever I went for a walk in the wilderness, Delilah followed me like a dog. Without a leash.
Unfortunately after about 2 or 3 months, she disappeared. The coyotes might have caught her.
I still miss her.

Talking of 'long legged' cats, Ruby has exceptionally long back legs - much longer than most cats we've had. We're not sure why, but perhaps she was from good stock, or maybe semi-pedigree. She really can run very fast because of this, and if she walks she walks more like a 'Big Cat' than a household cat!

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

What a lovely dog, Sunskriti. Our pets give us so much love and joy, even on their pictures one can't help but smile. :D
