Does anyone know this book series?

Post by kirstymaclaren »

Hi,

I am trying to remember a series of books I read in the early 90s or thereabouts, but not by Enid Blyton.

They were about a teenage girl who goes to boarding school and there were perhaps 4 books in the series. All I can remember is that on the front cover of one you see the girl in her uniform which is red and grey, and in one book someone comes to the school who is a film star, with long blonde hair and sunglasses on the front cover.

Does anyone know what this is?

Thanks!

Probably this isn't it, but the only series I saw in bookshops in Spain in the 90s about a teenage girl who goes to boarding school and is not by Blyton is a Danish series called Puck. It's much longer than 4 books, and I don't even know if it was ever translated into English. I never read it, being targeted to girls:

I don't know if they're what you're thinking of, but Anne Digby's "Trebizon" boarding school books were published between 1978 and 1994. They're about Rebecca Mason, who has a friend called Tish Anderson. There are 14 titles in the series though.

Thanks, I don't think it was either of those though.

I had wondered if it was Trebizon, but I feel like it was more modern than that and there were only 4-6 books in the series.
