Old Editions/Originals (Without DJ is fine)

Hi guys.

You all know I only have new editions, and can't easily get my hands on old ones or originals in India. Some recent discussions on the forums have made me realise that the versions I have are heavily edited/altered and they don't have illustrations, (except the secret series). So I've been wondering if you guys have any old editions of her books, ( Secret Series, Adventure Series, FF, SS, FFO, R Mysteries, Faraway Tree, anything really!) that you are willing to part with, then I would really appreciate it if you could post below, and I could PM you to find out the price and other details. I know many of you have spare books that you want to sell, so I thought I'd try here. I'm checking on Ebay of course, but posting here as well.
I only want to get a book or two, to see if it really makes much of a difference, because they're expensive and my parents aren't very keen on me buying hordes of highly priced books that I already have!
So, please say if you have any! And its fine if it doesn't have a DJ. I know my chances are slim as people usually don't want to part with old editions, but there is a chance that someone has a spare or whatever! What's the harm in trying, eh? :)

Sunskriti, I have several copies of Adventure series books and Barney (R) mysteries that I'd be very willing to part with. I'll PM you and we can discuss things further. :D

I've got a few Famous Fives looking for a home as well, not sure what else as I think my other duplicates are in the loft at my parents'. I'll check tomorrow but I think it's Five on a Treasure Island (with a facsimile dustjacket) and Five Have a Mystery to Solve with a proper one.

As I said, I won't be allowed more than a few books, but Five On A Treasure Island is one I've wanted for ages & never had, so would it be possible to send the details of your price etc for the book in a PM?

Thanks a lot!

I've sent you a PM about Five on a Treasure Island. You're on a slippery slope though! Once you get your hands on a couple of early editions I'm sure you'll want more ;)

Is a slippery slope like a slippery-slip?

I wish! Only then I'd need a cushion! If it was a slippery slip I most certainly would have slid down it. :D :D

I have 14 of the first 15 Enid Blyton famous Five HB, 3 of which are 1st editions none later than 1956. these were left to me by my late father. None of the book look as if they have been read although they have no dust covers so one or two have some minor water marks which can be seen on photo's. If you are interested I can supply pictures of the books and their issue page. Regards Peter

PS I am only looking to sell them as a job lot.

I have some originals that I could do with shifting Darrell, Secret Seven, couple of Fives and a Barney Mystery, do you want me to send you a list of what I've got?

Thanks guys, but I only got permission from my parents for a few, (which I got thanks to Courtenay and Fiona, thanks guys! :D ) because as I've mentioned they think it's quite worthless. Maybe you should try PMing Stef and judopete, Maria Esther. :)
