1) Connect Headphones connector with "Line-In"-connector of your PC's audio-card/mainboard...
I would give this a go as I do have a cassette player still (in a stereo with a CD player) but I'm not 100% sure what connector I would need to buy.

Me neither - and anyway, I'm happy to just keep mine on cassette and not play it! They are always a disappointment!

I think Dinah meant the (presumably pirate) copy on youtube. :-)

I did, but...

I'm also wondering where I would be able to buy the original audio version? I've never heard about them before this topic started.

This seems to be the only one available - quite a price!

If you have working headphones that fit your stereo, simply take it along to an electro(nic) shop, they should be able to tell you the right adapters. The manual of your stereo could also be helpful. The line-in-connectors of soundcards are standardised and shouldn't give you any trouble. Headphone connectors of "walkmen" have the same size.

That Word of Mouth cassette has the two Tempo ones on it that came out in two different Tempo series.

How come the artwork on that cassette cover bears no resemblance whatsoever to anything that happens in the story?? :? I can only assume they gave the illustrating job to someone who hadn't actually read the book.

I have always been very keen on making the Audio section in the Cave as complete as possible when it comes to cassettes as I know that there aren't going to be any new ones coming along. It is surprising how difficult they are to find though. I have thought for a long while that the 26 Pickwick Ditto cassettes were all that there were as I hadn't seen anything new in four years, but I have just found a 27th which I have bought on ebay. I don't know what its number is yet, so I am unable to add it until it arrives, but I always get a thrill in finding something that I didn't know existed.

I know, it is time I got a life!

It's the same with German audiobooks. There are dramatised audiobooks of the Mystery series, I have six of them, but now and then there appear further audiobooks on ebay, but they are sold to much higher prices than I am willing to pay.
