Does anyone know the correct size in mm of the protective plastic wrapper that covers the original dustcover of the 1950's style famous Five books with hard backed red boards at all please?

Also,a contact about the best place to purchase them online would be most appreciated also thanks.

My protective wrapper comes in a roll Pete, and it measures 9 1/2inches. I cut off the roll to the size of the opened jacket, and just fold in the extra at the top of bottom of the dust jacket. Sorry, but I can't remember the name or which site I bought the roll from! :?

I get my rolls of dustwrapper covering from D and M Packaging Supplies Limited, Pete:

I've always been happy with their service and quality of their products. :D

Or, if you're a tight-wad like me, get a roll from KPC, who're a good fiver cheaper for a 25 metre roll

ETA - I have bought from 'em, & will do again when my current roll runs out.

Thanks so much to everyone for all excellent the recommendations.I hadn't realized you could buy the plastic protective sleeve on a roll and then just cut it to size.
My new set of Five's are going to look very smart indeed now! :D

For your next trick, may I suggest you invest in a nice long straight edge. & something like a bone folder, or you'll end up with a wibbly edge, & a painful thumb :)

I tend to cut slightly over-length & then trim up after I've folded & wrapped it round the book again.
