Desktop site help needed
I have got a new tablet and when I sign in on here it's in a mobile format which is very hard to navigate. The main page can be put to a desktop version but I can't find a way to make the forums do so. Please can someone advise how to change it back?

What type of tablet is it? I know on apple devices there is a 'request desktop site' option built in (but doesn't work on every site). I
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

On an android tablet there are three dots in a vertical line on the top right hand side. Click on those and you will see the option request desktop site with a box next to it. Click on that and the site will stop being in the mobile format.
If I could live here on this secret island always and always and always, and never grow up at all, I would be quite happy

Thank you Shadow!! I'm still finding my way around this tablet and although the main page was the same as usual, for some reason the forum was very difficult to navigate!
Fiona, it's an Amazon fire tablet, the one I was using before was an Apple device and was always in the desktop format. I didn't even know there was a mobile format until it showed up that way on this tablet.

My tablet is a Fire too.
I must admit I do use the mobile version of the site because the links are bigger and easier to tap, rather than bothering to zoom in on the full site, but it's a shame that the mobile site is so limited, there's no user control panel, no access to PMs, you can't see people's signatures, etc.

See I didn't find it easier to tap at all, if anything I found it harder as all the 'boxes' that separate the sub categories and such disappeared . It's amazing how something so simple can affect how you see it and how much harder it becomes to navigate a site with no defined boundary lines .
