Re: A Question about PMs...
Hi pwl, and welcome to the forums!! What makes you feel this is disconcerting?
Fiona, rather disturbing to point out a mistake, I know you only meant good, but after all, pwl has joined only today!!
I hope you'll have fun here and join in everywhere pwl!

Oh Gosh, sorry Ms. Fiona, you had written PMS on another of your posts.
And to Mr Darrell71 - thank'ee Sir, thank'ee for coming to the rescue.
My compliments to both of you and I do hope we can share a chat or two again in the not too distant future?

"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

And may I say Ma'am, you have done wonders in the field on disconcerting feelings - I can honestly say that I am truly cured and without a doubt, disconcertedness free, and if I may say more, I am indeed undisconcerted as of this juncture.
Aren't the Scotch a most admirable bunch - I think we can all give a three cheers for them and a rousing Hip Hip Hurrah in response.
Thank you Ma'am, thank you muchly.

I was under the impression that Scotch was a drink of whiskey! I think you're probably meaning Scots or Scottish, maybe pwl, not that I'm wanting to put words in your mouth of course! I'm also wondering what pwl stands for! Is it Pawl!
Julian gave an exclamation and nudged George.

Yes Ms. Julie2owlsdene - you are absolutely correct and hence the three cheers and a rousing Hip Hip Hurrah which I often given when downing the Scotch!!

I hope you mean drinking whiskey and not forcing Scottish people under water

Nice one Ms. J2 - I think you and I are going to get on like a house on a fire and who knows, perhaps much in the same way as the Springfield Massachusetts Gentlemen's Club went up recently - and between you me and the gate post, its Peter.

The 's' is a suffix so it's PMs or if you wanna be a shade pedantic PM's.

Re: A Question about PMs...
Actually, that apostrophe is probably not correct.
"6. Generally, Do Not Use an Apostrophe to Form a Plural
As a general rule, use only an -s (or an -es) without an apostrophe to form the plurals of nouns--including dates, acronyms, and family names:
Markets were booming in the 1990s.
The tax advantages offered by IRAs make them attractive investments.
The Johnsons have sold all of their CDs."
From grammarabout.com
I don't use an apostrophe to pluralise an acronym/set of initials, and I don't use them for years or decades.
Or even better: http://oxforddictionaries.com/words/apostrophe" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, near the bottom "apostrophes and plural forms".

Re: A Question about PMs...
This is most illuminating Ms. Fiona1986 and I think I would like to propose a three cheers which I am quite certain the forum would be more than willing to endorse with a vibrant "Hurrah" all round.
It came as quite a surprise to me to learn that:
"The tax advantages offered by IRAs make them attractive investments."
Not a wonder the Northern Ireland Peace Process was able to be achieved and being led by our colonists over the pond.
A question if I may Ms. Fiona:
- were Wall Street behind this financial manoeouvre?
(and please note I use the English spelling variant "oeuvre" as opposed to the more lax american bubble-gum edition dictionary spelling manooover OR more simply written move over)

"You're so sharp you'll cut yourself one day!" Hunchy said going to the door
"So my Mother told me that when I was two years old!" said Julian and the others giggled.

Re: A Question about PMs...
Please just call me Fiona. Ms makes me feel ridiculous... but if you insist on a title miss would do.
