We are certainly hoping to have another meeting next year Sue and it would be great to see you there. :D

Yes, Sue, - keep your eyes open on the Enid Blyton Day section next year and I am sure something will turn up!

We are thinking of a picnic/meal at the Spade Oak and boat trip. Plan to do some investigation in the New Year and hopefully establish a date early on.

You are a star, Sally - I hope you realise how grateful we are. I do know that June is a good time for me so I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Boat trip sounds nice! :D It's a pity Old Thatch isn't open to visitors any more — I've never seen it, and had to miss out on the previous meet-up there when I could have gone — but I would still be happy to see the general area and get to meet some fellow EBS members at last.

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

June would be an ideal month for a picnic and boat trip in Bourne End, Sally. Chick and I would be most interested in such an outing. :D
'Go down to the side-shows by the river this afternoon. I'll meet you somewhere in disguise. Bet you won't know me!' wrote Fatty.

Sounds fab to me, Sally. Let's hope we can make it too.

I hope to be able to make it, too. I may incorporate an overnight stay next year though as it was a very long day, and drive, this year.

Sounds sensible - I am lucky enough to live near enough not to worry.

You and Erika could stay at the same hotel as we do, John. :)

I've just had an email from the Planning Dept, about the proposed flats they wanted to build. I expect those lovely ladies we met on Blyton Close will be pleased that the application to build was refused! :)

That is good news Julie ..... although sometimes appeals are re-admitted - some people don't give up easily! Let's hope in this case that doesn't happen.
