Phew, that's a relief - I genuinely thought I had offended you and that you thought my comment was directed at all ladies! :(
I should know by now that you were pulling my leg! ;)

Cathy, I never take offence. If I can give it out, I can certainly take it! Mind you, when we do meet up, you know I'll say to my wife, "This is Cathy - she thinks women who don't wear make-up are snooty and arrogant!"

And I guarantee that your wife will know exactly what you're up to, give you a slap, and then talk to me! :)

Anita Bensoussane wrote:My skin disease and allergies prevent me wearing any make-up at all, but if I had the choice I'd wear a little bit just to give my face some extra colour.
Sorry to hear that Anita, but so agree it would be dreadful if your skin reacted badly to some product and made things worse. Do hope the treatment you are having helps significantly.

Looking forward to this meeting of Nigel's wife with some of the ladies from the forum - with Nigel

I'm just waiting for the next Spade Oak meet up, and Old Thatch. And not too worried about who is wearing make up and who isn't!

Julian gave an exclamation and nudged George.
"See that? It's the black Bentley again. KMF 102!"

Hear hear, I'd rather everyone had orange faces, than not turn up at all.

Orange faces, red faces - I am sure no one will even mention the make-up at the meet-up.

How about somewhere in Kent... is there a Blyton-related landmark here? :D

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Enid spent her childhood in Beckenham/Bromley in Kent.
