I travel down by train, Abi, and it doesn't stop in Dumfries I'm afraid! It goes from Edinburgh to Berwick upon Tweed without any stops as it is an East Coast service.

What a shame, Fiona. It would have been a great opportunity for you both to get to know each other really well on a lengthy train journey.

I then learnt that Val had also been booked to appear with Gumdrop at a wedding that day! Despite being 90 he is still very active and still working, and Gumdrop is in popular demand at events.

Jane and I both commented on Val's non-appearance, it is good to know that he is still well and active.

I'm quite chuffed that you, he and Anita check up on me from time to time or let me know when something is happening!

I am sure that it isn't only I (had to think about I/me on this one) who has missed your posts on the forums, Rob. We have spent many happy times together so 'checking up on you' is no hardship! Once Ming sorts her life and priorities out and ventures west to old Blighty again, we will all have to have a really good knees up!

I'm on the Pamela Cox Malory Towers so you'll have to wait a bit. I bought Mystery Moor there when I already had it. I'm keeping the ones I got from the day until I've got the covers matching the ones I've got now.

good books to read. It's always fun to read them for

Maybe we should have a swapathon where we swap our duplicate books
for ones we don't have. Maybe we could do it at the next Enid Blyton
Day.

It went on a little bit on Saturday Francis, but most were books being sold to others for a reasonable price, however the idea of a swap session could be a good idea if enough people have spares.

I saw one box with a little sign reading "Books £1 each. Just take one and put the money in the box." A nice honesty system I thought.
