Update on the weather forecast I gave a few days ago. After a very wet week in
the south it looks as though both Saturday and Sunday will be dry
with some sunshine. The following week looks wet again! Of course this could
always change so I will keep you posted.

As promised here is the menu from the caterers. If you wish to order online from it you will need to do so fairly quickly as Carole would like orders by Thursday evening.

If you have any difficulty with this just let me know and I will attach the order form to an email as a word file.

It's great to see the pictures of the 2002 Enid Blyton Day! That was the first one I attended and I've never missed any since.

Just seen this list of Forumite attendees to the Blyton Day. Count me in - so looking forward to it, and also hopefully the picnic, subject to weather!

I see our friend Marcus Harris is in Salisbury on the 12th! Typical, as Tony and I won't be there! There are some notable absences from the list this year. No Petermax, George@Kirrin or Rob Houghton, to name just three.

Yes I was just thinking the same. Rob Houghton may still show up. He hasn't been posting here to tell us whether or not he's going so the absence of his name on the list may not mean anything. Presumably G@K couldn't get leave and Petermax sadly seems to have disappeared as well.

That the new Editorial Director at Hodders is giving a talk should be interesting, especially since they've bought up the Blyton estate. He's probably the most important person with regard to how Blyton will be developed in the next few years.

I'm sure that everyone has thought of a good question to ask him.

I don't think that Jon Appleton is there to answer questions, he is really just speaking for a few minutes to introduce himself, but it is still very early days for Hodders and at this stage I won't expect them to have made all that many future plans.

I think this is very unlikely, John. He hasn't looked in on the forums for six weeks and I had no reply to an email that I sent him in late February. He certainly hasn't bought a ticket.

Nice photos of the E.B. Day 2002. Just looking at the first photo with Imogen and the little girl, but I'm afraid I don't know who Mark Davidon is? :?

I think that photo explains why I need name labels - I didn't recognise myself or my mother in that picture!
