Well actually as a fan of Blue Peter, and a supporter of Everton,(yes they have one!)and due to the fact that my grandfather played in goal for them just before the war I have to confess to a sadly more mundane explanationMoonraker wrote:Hmm, Blue Peter (knowing you as we do!) does make you sound a bit like a porn star.....pete9012S wrote: ps surely even this avatar wont offend you Moonraker??

A much improved avatar, Pete. Congratulations!

I'm sure you will agree that Moonrakers new avatar has set such an extremely high standard for these forums that I felt honour bound to improve my own image!
Regards

Goldfinger aka Moonraker?
Don't give him any funny ideas about pointing Lasers... . Or planting nasty devices in one of the side rooms of Loddon Hall.

What's with all these new avatars? I feel as if I ought get myself a new lighthouse!
Re: Enid Blyton Day DVD
I would have thought a signal box would have been more appropriate, Petermax!Petermax wrote:What's with all these new avatars? I feel as if I ought get myself a new lighthouse!

Petermax, my old friend Tinker Hayling is a bit short of cash due to the crisis. He might be interested in selling his lighthouse.... .What's with all these new avatars? I feel as if I ought get myself a new lighthouse!
BTW, have you ever read "The Signalman" by Charles Dickens? I'd strongly advise against a signal box as an avatar for that reason.
Cheers

What a classic. We all watch the BBC adaptation every Christmas. It is full of errors, but nevertheless is a fantastic television adaptation.Dick Kirrin wrote: have you ever read "The Signalman" by Charles Dickens?

Re: Enid Blyton Day DVD
Never read it, but like Nigel, have watched the classic.
Petermax, you can't change your avator. I associate people with their avators. Moonraker with his scraping the cheese, Ming with Kiki bird, Tony as Tony, Anita in the kitchen, Zoe as George Kirrin, etc.
Unthinkable!!

Julian gave an exclamation and nudged George.
