I missed the Enid Blyton Society day 2009? :( :( :( :( :( :( :(
Please, please say NOOOOOOOOOO!

Very sorry you missed it, Anna. I almost emailed you a week beforehand but hesitated because I thought you knew about it anyway and I didn't want you to think I was hassling you. :( Another time, I'll hassle you for sure!

Your project sounds interesting, especially the personal page. Let us know what your English teacher says about it!

Guess who I'm doing! :D
And I got all the info from the EB pages here, got loads of pages for my project so far that I've done, even though it's supposed to be a one-page thing! I've also included a personal page in which I've put how Enid's writing has inspired many, and how there is an Enid Blyton Society now!
Lucky you! I'd love to do a project on Enid Blyton. The personal page seems to be a good idea and what makes it even greater is the fact that you mentioned the EB society. :D Good luck.

Has anyone heard from Oscar since the EB day? it was great to meet him and I think he really enjoyed the day. Maybe he was going to have an extended holiday once he was here, but it would be nice to hear from him again.

I too was wondering why we haven't heard from Oscar, Daisy, or seen the many photos he was taking. He did say that he was returning home on the Wednesday, which would have given him three days of visiting the area until his return to Spain.

Project went Wonderful! My teacher was really pleased and I got to read some extracts to the class!!
I've now got a further project...and it again I will do Enid Blyton; as part of our "Author In a Box" Project.

The task is to get a box, and fill it with things that represent our author. We must produce at least 5 peices of writing which we can make up; like a School report (we can write this ourselves authentically, or design a letter which could be from a friend, basing it on their real life. I'm also working on a diary entry by Enid for my box. I'm also going to take a picture of the plaque saying "Where Enid Lived!" In Shortlands, to stick inside it.

Wish me Luck! I truly love the project!

Oscar, it's the slashes that are causing the problems, you have them as http:\\ instead of the usual http://

I just tried editing the slashes for the first image in your post, Oscar, but when I tried to resubmit the post it wasn't accepted - I got a message saying, "Your images may only be up to 500 pixels wide." I had to put the slashes back as they were in order for the post to be accepted again. Therefore, I'm afraid it looks as if size is a problem as well as the slashes.

Nice to hear from you though! :D

Since resizing all the pictures really would be a hassle, perhaps the IMG tags can be removed? Then they can just be clickable links.
