It does sound lovely, Sally - many thanks. I will come if I can, but can't say for sure until closer to the date!

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Re: Forumites Meet Up in July?
Just read all your replies following a very busy week with no access to such pleasures as this Forum - shall we go with that then and aim for the Chequers in Marlow at 1200 followed by the boat trip at either 2.00 or 3.00 p.m. I may be down there in early June, which means I can check it all out in advance.
Suggest we start a list of those aiming to go and keep it updated:
Sally
Eddie
Chick
Julie
Stephen
Daisy 2
Francis 2?
Courtney
Perhaps others would confirm when they can.
Looking forward to seeing you all. Let's hope the weather is like today.

Re: Forumites Meet Up in July?
Please don't put me on the list yet, Sally — I won't be able to confirm until much closer to the date, and even then, it may be a no. My shifts at work change all the time and while I may be able to swap with someone else in order to ensure I have that day free, I can't guarantee it at all.

Re: Forumites Meet Up in July?
I've booked a hotel for the night before the meet up in July so I haven't got to face a long drive on the Saturday morning. I hope that the weather will be kind to us all.

Yes, we have too, so we'll be there on the Saturday morning without too much of a drive over to Marlow.
Looking forward to seeing everyone too.

I'm sure it will Francis, the get together days are far too short.

Re: Forumites Meet Up in July?
Well I think it's fairly safe to say that I won't be able to make it. Typically everything is happening that weekend!! I already knew my daughter has a dancing exam on the Sunday, so an overnight stay wasn't on the cards, but then I had the bright idea of travelling down on Friday, only to discover that's the night of my son's prom.
Never mind - maybe next year!
