Why, what happened!

I hope another get together can be arranged for next summer. I know Old Thatch is now off the list, but I'm sure we can think of somewhere Blytonie. :D

I'm looking forward to meeting others for the first time at Beaconsfield. Hopefully, I shall be there by noon, I just need to work out what time I need to leave home so that I'm not late. My wife, Erika, is coming too. Both of us have met Julie and Nigel previously and it will be great to put more faces to names. :D

I'm sorry to say I can't come this time either — it's turned out I've got something else on that day. :( Hope you all have a wonderful time, though!

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Great to see so many Society members aiming to join us on 17 October in Beaconsfield. Sorry we won't see Julie, Nigel, Courtney and others but hopefully next year. From recent messages, it looks like the following have confirmed:

John Pickup 1
Francis 2?
Eddie 2
Anita
Daisy 2
Lucky Star
Pippa-Steff?
Fiona?
Sally

Not clear if Pippa-Steff and Fiona are joining us but do hope so. Francis - will you be 2? Suggest we add others to this list to get a general picture.

Anita - agree would be good to take in Blyton Close and the Town Hall if we have time (and the weather is kind).

As I've said from the start, I wasn't going to make it no matter which date was chosen. In the end it's landed on my partner's 30th birthday so I doubly can't make it!
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

We will try and make it, Sally, as we both would like to come, but won't know until the day before, as it all depends on how Morgan is, for with his illness it's a 'see how he is today' sort of thing, and we have to consider the distance too.

So you can put me down, with a ?

He's been diagnosed with degenerative kidney disease, Poppy. He is on special renal food, and two tablets at night, and we have to take him every two weeks to the vets for his blood to be checked and his urine. His blood has stabled at the moment, but with kidneys he could go downhill suddenly, and sadly there is no cure, as there is no transplants for dogs. So we're making the most of every day that we have the little chap.

I hope Morgan continues to do well and that you can make it to Beaconsfield, Julie - it would be good to see you!

I'm really sorry to hear about poor Morgan, Julie, but it's good that things are positive at the moment (about his blood) and I hope things continue to go smoothly. Give him a big hug from me! :D

I also hope Morgan continues to do well, Julie. It would certainly be good to see you in Beaconsfield. :D

Thanks, all, as I said it will be a very last minute decision for us. But we'd love to come. :)
