Sorry you won't be at the meet up, Abi, but I'm sure you'll have a great time at the sleep over. :)

I'm sorry too, Abi, that you can't make the meeting. It would have been lovely to see you again. Have a good time with your friend.

Is a sleepover a pullover that you sleep in? Whatever you do, have a good time, Abi. :)

Hi everyone,
Just to say its about two weeks until we go to Old Thatch, and I was wondering if by Wednesday I could have a final (ish) list of who is coming to the meal at the Spade Oak, so I can let them know?

Also can I have a list of people who would like a ROAST Dinner just in case they ask for numbers. I have two for Sunday Roast's already. If I can get these, we should be good to go!

Cheers

Stef
"You're so sharp you'll cut yourself one day!" Hunchy said going to the door
"So my Mother told me that when I was two years old!" said Julian and the others giggled.

Well you can put my down for definitely going, but I think you already knew that ;)

No roast for me ta!
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

Hi Stef,

My husband takes the roast dinner, I'll try to just order a salad at the Spade Oak and rather have scones at Old Thatch after 2 p.m. in case that's possible. I'm no meat eater.

BTW on Monday I'll fly to Europe on vacation to meet my husband who's still working abroad, so I won't check any e-mails. But I gave Francis André's e-mail address in case one of you wants to get in touch with us/me.

Is anybody interested in trading or buying one of these 5 EB books:

- Five get into Trouble (Hodder & Stoughton, 1951) ill. by Soper, dustwrapper with clear sleeve around it
- The Mystery that never was (Collins, 1965) ill. by Gilbert Dunlop, with dustwrapper
- The Mystery of the Burnt Cottage (Methuen, 1971) ill. by Mary Gernat, with dustwrapper
- The Secret of Moon Castle (Armada paperback, 1966) ill. by Dorothy Hall
- The Twins go to Nursery-Thyme Land (Brockhampton, 1945) ill. by Soper

I'm very limited with luggage space due to the weight limitations on the planes between the Channel Islands, so please let me know by Sunday night, if there is interest.
Thank you.

Could you book me down for the roast please Stef. That's just the one. Hubby isn't a roast man!

Chick and I will be coming, but neither of us will want a roast, Stef.

Still coming plus two (they cheered when they heard Stef was coming - sorry Stef) but no roast dinners.
If I could live here on this secret island always and always and always, and never grow up at all, I would be quite happy

Sorry, but I don't think we'll be able to make it. :( We've not found any cheaper way of transport so it would probably cost about £200 there and back in petrol money!

Sorry I can't make it either. It's our family annual gathering. My husband has four brothers and they (and their wives) get together in a city for the weekend mid way between us all. Last year it was Stratford on Avom and this year we are going to Worcester. It's a great weekend but I would have liked to join you all. Still, maybe next year?

Have a great time!! :D

I'm afraid I won't be able to make it either, but I hope you all have a lovely day and we're all looking forward to seeing lots of great photos and hearing all about it!! :D :D

I've lost track of the actual date of this meet (old age?)- can some one remind me, please? Thanks in advance.
