It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

I'm pleased to see Anita's article about The Adventures of Pip as I am reading that at the moment. Lots more good stuff too.

What a great surprise! Journal 54 has just arrived in the post and the latest issue looks as sumptuous as ever. I shall enjoy reading it from cover to cover later today. Many thanks, Tony. :D

I received my copy just now, too, which I am thrilled about! There's looks to be some very interesting articles: I am especially looking forward to Part 2 of Robert Houghton's interesting Comparision of The Children of Red-Roofs and The Railway Children, as well as John Lester's appealing study on Barney from the 'R' Mysteries. Also, conveniently, The Adventures of Pip is on my reading list so looking forward to Anita's article on this book. Thanks Tony, for putting together yet another great issue. :D

Wow, mine came today too. Usually it comes a day or two after those who live in England.

"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

I had a preview of the proof copy a week or so ago, I didn't pay too much attention as I didn't want to spoil the surprise! However, mine has arrived today, and I am looking forward to a few hours in the summerhouse later!
