Mine has arrived! :D
Thank you Tony!
Have you got cats, Tony, because when I took it out and put the envelope down, my George pounced on the envelope and hasn't stopped playing with it and rubbing round it, he seems to love the smell and he's poked one of his toy mice inside it and is having a whale of a time! :D

I was going to read it later with my afternoon cuppa and go out and do my jobs first, but it's ever-so-conveniently started to pour down so I may have to stay in and read it with my lunch instead ;)

I had forgotten that the Journal was due so it was a pleasant surprise to find it delivered today. This is my twentieth Journal and I think it is a cracker. I shall sit down this afternoon with a cup of cocoa and read David Chambers' and Julie's articles. Journals are such rare treats that I sip and savour them like a glass of decent Oloroso, so it will take me several days to get through it.

There is a thick white envelope sitting on my doormat. However, as I have things to do/places to be this afternoon, I daren't open it. I know full well that a 'quick glance' at it will mean it's 5.00 before I know where I am!!! :D

Still, I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

Thrilled to see mine slip through the letterbox half and hour ago. Though I planned to savour it, I have already read five different pieces! What a wonderful issue! I have read and enjoyed the Letter from Mr Galliano and Letter from Elke. They both made very interesting reading. I loved Enids story "The Manky Petoddles"; it made humorous reading and overall had a good story to it. I reread my own and was very pleased with the pictures Tony included with it. I am itching to read more but it's going to have to wait because my mum keeps reminding me that I should really be doing some work!!! :D

Yes, as Pete has said - My eagle has landed too. What a bumper pack it looks too. I'll start on it tonight. Why don't you just walk round or drive round for yours, Nigel, it would save the postage!

I have offered to, Julie, but the system is auto-geared for postal deliveries. It would not be cost-effective to employ someone to subtract my copy from the postal room.

I'm sure Tony could give you a call and say ' come and get yours before they fly the nest'!

Arrived home this evening and there it was, my first ever journal since joining the society. I intend to start at the beginning and work my way through, savouring every page. And thanks to all the contributors, too.
