Tony the book-listing is simply marvelous! I often browse through whenever I have some free time and it seems to grow larger whenever I visit it!!! :D :D :D

I have an extremely large collection of the Award books. I was wondering if I could provide reviews for the short-stories in the books...

Thanks Ming, that's great, I have already sent it to Keith. The pictures that don't load are all okay, they are just waiting for Keith to add them, the ones I don't have, are the ones with image not available against them.

If you can send me a list of the stories in that book I will add them in, I do that myself, it is only the pictures that I send to Keith.

'The Enchanted Shoes' is now the only Award book that I am missing a picture for, but several are missing their contents.

Best wishes
Tony

I went through the books that are missing their contents. I have some of the books, and have already listed the stories. Will I send them too?

I also browse the book listing quite regularly. I can get lost very easily in all those beautiful covers, the old ones that is, I'm not a fan of many of the modern covers.

I dont know how it could be made better, it is easily the most comprehensive book listing for any author I have ever seen. Well done and many thanks for your efforts Tony.

It's so easy to navigate!
My mum said it brings back to her old sweet memories of the books she used to have!
There is always something else new to learn.

Yes, the book listing is a land where one can be lost for hours. I have said many times before (and I make no apologies for it!) that there is so much more to this website than the forums - most excellent that they are!
Only complete euphoria can be experienced by full membership of the Society.

I also would like to echo Lucky Star's thanks to Tony for all his valiant work. As well as his unequalled devotion to the Society, he is a true gentleman; and on my frequent visits to his house (just to the left of the Faraway Tree), have always been greeted with warmth and friendship.

Might not be all that easy to do Mohamed, but you are welcome to give it a go and I will add anything you like to send.

Thanks Tony! I'll give brief reviews of the short-stories within the books and some comments as soon as possible.

Thanks again! Maybe I'll have an opportunity to be famous! :D :D :D :D :D :D

Just a suggestion on how the book listing can be improved -- it would be helpful if we knew what new books were added to the list. Sometimes, I have to search for ages and often can't find newly added books. Perhaps there could be a section called "Recently Added Books"??

That's a good idea, Ming -- I could easily set that up. Watch this space...

Yes, sorry Nigel, been up to my eyeballs in work. But I've been working behind the scenes on this site, doing various bits and pieces, so I've not been completely absent, just lurking a bit. :)

Ming, I added a page that hopefully will help you. I haven't even mentioned or cleared it with Tony, but I'm sure he won't mind, and if he or anyone has any suggestions about it then feel free to let me know! Right now this page shows the latest 50 additions to the site -- that is, either entirely new books added to the database, or existing books that have had content added (like short stories, etc). Of course in many cases this means the same thing, like when Tony adds a brand new book containing short stories!

Go to the Book Listing page and you'll see a link there under the stats, or just use the little dropdown menu.

Hope it helps.
