Famous Five Annual

Post by Tony Summerfield »

Those of you who keep a beady eye on Amazon to see what new is coming up in the Blyton line next year, may have seen that on August 1st there is to be a new Famous Five Annual.

Image

This full-colour Annual includes:
1. In-depth profiles on each of the Famous Five.
2. A gallery of covers across the decades - and all over the world.
3. A cartoon extract from the first book in the series, FIVE ON A TREASURE ISLAND (plus other illustrated stories and extracts).
4. A complete illustrated Famous Five short story.
5. Rescue the Famous Five and other word and picture-based puzzles.
6. A tour of the real-life locations on which Enid Blyton based the fictional world of Kirrin Island.
The Annual combines brand-new material with classic art, design and texts from the past 70 years - a must-have for all Blyton enthusiasts.

That looks lovely, but what a long time to wait :(
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

Isn't it? All the better for being adventurous enough to show a non-Kirrin location.

Then your original question should have been "where will they be sold". Which I should think would be Amazon, WH Smiths, Waterstones etc

"You're so sharp you'll cut yourself one day!" Hunchy said going to the door
"So my Mother told me that when I was two years old!" said Julian and the others giggled.

Brilliant news, Tony. :D I'm looking forward to getting a copy as soon as it is published. It can be pre-ordered from Amazon for £7.19 (cover price is £7.99).
