Billy Farmer wrote:For a location - a Haunted Mine, and nearby an old Inn, with a secret passage, leading from the Inn to the Mine.

A legend attached to the old Mine, and also the old Inn, and characters, whose ancestors, worked down the Haunted Mine.

Also an unpleasant character, who had an ancestor, who worked in the old Inn.
A map, showing the workings of the Haunted Mine.

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Some 'field glasses' ;-)

Also a swimsuit!!

And maybe tracing paper for tracing old maps and documents.
'Oh voice of Spring of Youth
hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'
