Laura Petela

Post by MrsKirrin »

Does anybody know what Laura Petela are doing these days?
I know Jemima is still an actress, Paul a musician and Marco a director.
But I don't know anything about Laura :(
I'd love to know more, can anybody tell me if you know please? :)

According to her page on Facebook, Laura Petela left acting and is now a sales and events coordinator. I found this information on the following link:

I hope this helps, Mrs K. :D
'Go down to the side-shows by the river this afternoon. I'll meet you somewhere in disguise. Bet you won't know me!' wrote Fatty.

Jemima has gone on to be a very successful actress and by far the most successful of the cast in the 90s series.

Laura Petela only featured in Animal Ark (1997) and Shot through the heart (1998) after her appearance in FF. Shame really as she would have been 15 at the time.

I never really got the feeling that Laura was as into it all as the others. She said once that she saw herself as George not Anne. And she was quite a bit younger than the others at the time.

Jemima, like Deej says, has gone on to be the most successful actor of the four children. Paul has his amazing band (I know- biased!). And Marco is indeed a producer, but finding any of his work is tough!

The unfortunate nature of TV series, through my view is that the 70s series has reached cult status and with the actors being older, there is more of a feeling to reunite and be nostaligic. The 90s series has no cult status and the actors are not in that place in their lives where they want to look back.

Jemima is happier to talk about it, for sure. Sometimes when I chat to Paul it does come up but not as easily as it does with Jemima.

Just my two pence worth! :D

"You're so sharp you'll cut yourself one day!" Hunchy said going to the door
"So my Mother told me that when I was two years old!" said Julian and the others giggled.

It's a shame about the 90s series having no cult status as I prefer it out of the two series, probably as I was growing up at the time. Well I was four years old in 1996!
