Which actors should play which Enid Blyton characters?
Peter Moran who played Pogo Patterson in Grange Hill would have made an ideal Fatty. For all I know, the character could have been based partly on Blyton's original. He was chubby, witty, crafty, likeable and he was known by a nickname connected to his size (apparently he broke his pogo-stick when he tried it!)
It's difficult because most of Enid Blyton's characters were children, yet I'm not so well up on today's child actors. For instance, the closest I can think of when I read about Ern Goon is Johnny Sheffield who played Boy in the 1930s and 40s Tarzan films!

Maybe we could get the female cast of Eastenders to take on some of the school characters? Stacey Slater would make such a MARVELLOUS Darrell *rolls eyes right across the desk*
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion.
I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate.
All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.
Time to die.
