Nice one, O.Q.! Great pics. My one & only visit to the farm was about 7 years ago! It's lovely to see some recent photos of the old place. Thanks for sharing. Great stuff! :D

Yes, it´s very nice. Every moment, Mrs Penruthlan will come out of the door. "The tea is ready!"

I never knew Charlotte Avery, who played Marybelle Lenoir in Smugglers Top (1978 F5 series) used to be in Eastenders! Mind you, I never watch the programme, so it's no surprise it's took this long for me to find out! Here is a link to her website & Wikipedia page for those who are interested in her work & how she has got on in life since her appearance in the F5! :D

Here I have some details from inside Rhinefield House:
Image
This are the windows, the Famous Five escaped. It´s in the ground floor! When you see the windows from outside in the film, you see the the windows directly obove, but there are iron lattice!

Image
This is the fireplace, Anne touched and said "It´s even warm"

and this is the secret door, I always thought it was only a fake door for the film, but it is the entrance door to one of the breakfast rooms in Rhinefield House. Only the wallpaper was changed. All three pictures I made in this room.

Nice photos, O.Q.! It's been a number of years since I was at Rhinefield House. Were you staying for a night at the House, or did you just visit for an hour or so? :D

Gary Russell, Sir, Were you at Poole quay in Dorset around Mid-June? I may be wrong, but I saw someone who looked remarkably like you! Ok, it was from a distance, but I don't think my eyesight is that bad..yet! I think you may have been with a few other folk. I didn't see them clearly, so I couldn't be sure they were with you. I didn't like to approach you, as I didn't want to be seen as interfering in your business or being a nuisance. I don't like invading other people's space at the best of times! I've not said anything up to yet, because I've only just remembered! Apologises if I'm mistaken. :D

Most time, when I am in "Kirrin (N.F.)", I stay in the Rhinefield House Hotel. One time, I slept in the Burley Manor Hotel, it was also very nice. Other Hotels I slept are in Highcliff or around this areas. I like to stay in this hotels, knowing the Famous Five have been there 40 years before.

Great stuff, O.Q. How lucky that you've stopped in such great hotels, made more enjoyable knowing that they were used in the F5 series! I know a few other people on this forum who have stayed in the hotels as well, but I've not had the opportunity to try them out myself. Maybe one day! :D
When are you planning your next visit to the NF?
