Well, at least I might have solved the location mystery that Gary was asking about!
I wasn't asking about the location, i was wondering what the footage was from
Sorry, Gary, I misunderstood. I thought you meant where it was being filmed. Sadly, I have no idea what the programme was that was being filmed.

Does anyone know what the two blurred photos showing people filming is from?
I'm wondering whether the two blurred photos might be stills, taken from a piece of video showing the filming of Five Go Off to Camp. A very short clip of the video can be seen in this 2008 interview with Marcus Harris and Jennifer Thanisch (0:30 - 0:45) but I assume the original footage was longer. I'm afraid I've no idea whether the complete footage can be viewed anywhere:

Good lord I have no recollection of any one ever doing behind the scenes filming on Camp or anything else and yet there it is - briefly. How interesting...

Great stuff, Anita. Well done! I've seen the interview a few times before, but I'd totally forgotten about the brief clip. I don't think I would've thought of it any time soon! :D

Well done, Anita! I saw the whole interview (or at least I think it was the same one!) last year. I remember Gary and Marcus sitting on a beach, but have no idea what the programme was called.

I remember seeing it too, but had quite forgotten!

You may be confusing one for the other. The one Anita mentions is an interview with Marcus & Jennifer for a local TV programme in the South about 4 years ago, & the other is the recent BBC One show clip which was aired last Sept/Oct time. The latter shows Gary, Marcus & Jennifer on the beach at Brownsea Island & a few other locations, one of which was Corfe Castle station (I think!). :D

The interview I linked to on YouTube, which only features Marcus Harris and Jennifer Thanisch, was broadcast on Thames Valley Tonight in August 2008.

That's the one, Anita! I knew it was shown in the Southern region. I genuinely thought it was only around 4 years ago. I didn't realise it was a lot longer! Just shows how quickly time has flown! :| Thanks again for sharing the link. :D

There are also a lot photos from the locations. I think you can find it, if you google:
"Fünf Freunde Fanpage Drehorte" "(Drehorte" is the german word for "Filming location").
If you read the name "Adrian Wood", this is our "number 6", but it is not his right name! :wink:
Haha! Yes, they got my name wrong! It seems it's not only my face that's forgettable!! :lol:

The German fan page is a great site, full of great pics/info. I think it's now got an English section, too, but I'm not sure it's fully completed as yet. :D

Has anyone seen this FF movie from 2012 in the German Language? Seems to be some trailers for it here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D7mUturCcpE" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7eYywHwtGU" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Looks like pretty good production values, maybe?

Thanks for all the recent information too, btw. Interesting reading. I've been set back by "Google Earth Pro". Seems it doesn't handle "My Places" as well as the original "Google Earth" so I had to revert back to the latter version. Hopefully I haven't lost all my places. :)

Has anyone ever thought of having donations at this site so that we might pay for more storage space so the site could host pictures? or is that even possible?

There's a thread about this film: http://www.enidblytonsociety.co.uk/foru ... =22&t=3834. I watched it, and I'm not sure Enid Blyton would have approved of every aspect of the film.

Wolfgang, thanks for the reply and the link. Perhaps she would not have approved of it, but I'm glad it got made. Has anyone actually seen it? I've followed umpteen links to nowhere in my attempts to find it. :) It looks good in the previews.
