Great photos, Julie! I think the flood defences were already in place by the time of my first visit 5+ years ago, unless I'm mistaken. I'll pop over & have a look the next time I'm down that way.Julie2owlsdene wrote:Here are a few of Lymington Quay. There has been a sort of flood defence built now, which doesn't appear in the filming in the episode of Trouble.

Lovely photos, Julie! The tower where Block signalled from is located to the rear of the house.Julie2owlsdene wrote:Here is Smugglers Top.

Re: TV locations for the Famous Five series
I didn't know that about the tower, Number 6. I wished I'd looked around the other side of the Burley Manor now!

Oh no!!!! Due to the fact you knew about Burley Manor, I naturally assumed that you knew about the tower as well. Wished I'd said something earlier now!

No problem, number 6. Have you got any photos of the tower they used?

Super photos, Julie.

Great photos, Julie. Funny to think dogs are still not allowed at Smuggler's Top after all these years!

Yet they are allowed to stay at Burley Manor.

Re: TV locations for the Famous Five series
Yes, I've got plenty of location photos, inc the tower. I've just got to get on to tiny pic & download them! I'm trying to work out how to do that. I've got actual photos (developed) & digital ones, too. Some are unique. For example the Gatewood House photos where I had the privilege to walk around the whole grounds! Have you an e-mail address? If so, I'll send you a few photos of G/wood.Julie2owlsdene wrote:No problem, number 6. Have you got any photos of the tower they used?

Thanks for the PM, Julie! I've sent you a few various photos of Gatewood House to start off with.

I stand corrected! I thought you told me that you couldn't take Rosie in.Julie2owlsdene wrote:Yet they are allowed to stay at Burley Manor.

I couldn't take Rosie into the Rhinefield House Hotel, Moonraker, which was Faynights Castle in the TV series.
Burley Manor does take dogs, and that was as you know, Smugglers Top.
