Somehow I'd missed the photos at the beginning of this subject. They are fantastic, what a great collection.

Thanks very much indeed, Timmy254. I've just read all the Look-In articles and enjoyed them. I liked the stories of funny things that happened during filming, and was interested to learn that Michele Gallagher attended a boarding drama school.
Wow, that's a thought!Petermax wrote:Did anyone notice this most interesting comment in the first link?
Cellars and kitchen were transformed into winding tunnels, rocky coves, and a mine - and so delighted were the Rothschilds with the sets that they asked to keep them after the production ended!
Is it possible that some of the Famous Five sets survive at Exbury 33 years on? Probably not, but who knows?

Thanks Timmy, good stuff. I wonder if Anne's bike and the four watches that were in the competition still survive?
Did some of the other Look IN editions have pieces on the actors, or is that all the main pieces out of them

@Petermax, Exbury House was refurbished some years ago as far as I know, and it’s very likely that the sets didn’t survive.
@Scott, Yes, I think that’s all the main pieces.

Thanks Timmy, good stuff and a great site you have.
Anyone know which issue of the TV Times and who is on the front cover for the Five with Marcus on a scateboard and Jenny as a ballerina?

Very interesting, Timmy254, and I enjoyed reading the articles. It looks as if you are producing a very good web site. I have already Tweeted a link on the Society Twitter!

Sorting out my house during building works has its advantages. I just found a pristine copy (in its original plastic cover) of the Famous 5 Adventure Games: The Haunted Railway Game. Anyone know anything about this series? Even Gary wasn't sure!

Yes, I had several of these games - all based on several FF titles.
