Girl who doesn't do chores - shoelaces, bike tyre, sewing

Hello there Enid Blyton fans
I've been telling my kids this story for years and I know it was an Enid Blyton tale I read as a child. I tell the story, probably somewhat adapted as I fill in the blanks in my memory, as a way of encouraging my kids to do their chores on time.
The main ingredients of the story are that a little girl puts off mending her bicycle puncture, replacing her shoelaces and sewing up a hole in her pocket with the result that she loses some money, hurts her knee and... I'm not sure what else.
Does anyone recognise this story?
Thanks
Frosty

Ah yes - it's 'Whatever Next!" The girl's name is Eileen - it's a great little story. It can be found in these books (I have it in Enid Blyton's Sunshine Book):

Welcome to the forums, by the way!

Wow! That was a quick reply. Thank you very much. I am going to look out for this so that I can correct my retellings... although these days it's usually enough for me to say something like 'watch out or you'll turn into the little girl in the story!'.

I'm sure there's a similar one about the amazing repercussions that happen when a young girl tries to get out of cleaning her bicycle and invents more amazing and outlandish stories to cover her tracks - but I can't remember it.
Possibly read it in Enid Blyton's Magazine...
