Please can anyone tell me the book/story in which one of the children found a plant which he referred to as "a beastly alien" and destroyed it?

Doesn't ring any bells I'm afraid. Perhaps somebody else will know it.

Fraid nothing springs to my mind either. Are you sure it was a Blyton book?

Personally - how the plant is referred to as a 'beastly alien' doesn't seem quite Blytonish to me.

It is rude to ignore people, Farwa. Almost as rude as your question. As nobody had replied, John was just being courteous in acknowledging the query.

Thank you Julie and Nigel. I was indeed being polite. The person asking is new to our forums and it would have been dreadful to ignore them simply because nobody knows the answer to their question.

I see - I'm sorry if I seemed rude, but I thought that it was a bit unpleasant if half the people on this site make an entire page of answers which just say that that they don't know - and not even a question with it! But I guess it isn't, then.

Praise be to the other half of this site who ignored the original question whether they knew the answer or not - you have something worth its weight in gold,Farwa's approval.... :D :D :D
