Am I dreaming or did Enid write stories about someone named Mr Twiddle or was it Tweddle? I have a vague memory

Yes, Enid lots of stories about Mr. Twiddle. There are 2 or 3 books which are collections of the short stories listed in The Cave.

It's Mr. Twiddle.There are so many short stories about Mr Twiddle and his funny ways He was always getting into trouble with Mrs Twiddle----he just cant change his absent minded ways ,and makes a muddle of things.

There is a Mr. Meddle too---meddles with everyone and everything and gets into trouble..He just can't stay without meddling and muddling things not only for himself but for others as well.His aunt Jemima never likes Twiddle to visit her.Funny little stories--- very relaxing and absorbing.
