Five Letters - Make an Enid Blyton sentence

Five Letters - Make an Enid Blyton sentence

Easy game...I've picked five letters...and I've listed them. The next person has to make an Enid Blyton themed sentence using just the five letters. Like this...

J R W V S

Julian really was very sensible

Then leave your five letters...

Five went here or there. (I'm skipping the last 2 letter as there's only meant to be five).

"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

That's more than five letters, Julie... but were you thinking Fatty Was Head Of The Find-Outers?

Funny, I was thinking recently of a game I once played on another forum, where we would take any five-letter word — PEACE or HAPPY or GREEN or whatever — and use that as the basis for a five-word sentence starting with each letter. Then whoever thought up the sentence would give the next five-letter word.

For example, continuing the Blyton theme, PEACE could become Peter Excels At Commanding Everyone. (In reference to the Secret Seven's leader, of course. ) I was wondering if we could try that here, and now Pete has come up with a similar game! :D

Is the idea that each player gives the five letters with a sentence already in mind, and the next person has to guess what it is (or come as close as possible)? Or do we just pick five letters more or less at random and see what others can make of them? Just wondering what you had in mind, Pete, before we go on.

(Sorry, Fiona, just seen yours — I'll let someone else carry on from there! :D )

It was, Courtenay, well done!

I forgot it had to be Five letters, but it's only a game, so why worry! :P
