Harry's Folly.

Q. What character does Fatty repeatedly disguise himself as in Missing Man?

Incidentally, on a thread elsewhere, this story starts with Pip off to buy Easter eggs. (More of this, there!)

The disguise - was it the tramp whom Goon thought was the 'missing man'?

Correct, Moonraker! Although from memory, the only one to actually see the 'tramp' was Eunice - Goon always turned up after the fact.

Your turn!

A: Is it the Bourne?

If so:

I'm almost sure it refers to a colour, Anita...

Isn't it Grey House, White House or Some other colour House? :D

[Puffin62:] "Isn't it Grey House, White House or Some other colour House?"

Sounds like Balamory  !

Yes, it's White House (mentioned at the beginning of Disappearing Cat). Fatty must be the President of Peterswood 8) !

Your question, Puffin62.

Hi puffin62, I can work out your question is about The Mystery of the Strange Messages but this is a pretty tough question! How about some "glues"? (to quote Bets).

Well booklover, I think it's an easy one :)

FFO and Goon's nephew know from the messages that there is a house in Peterswood which is or was called The Ivies [it seemsThe House of the Rising Sun  ] . To find out which house it is, they split up in 3 groups (with 2 each) and they run through Peterswood from end to end eventually finding some possible ones.
Later on, they gather around to compare results reaching a conclusion - one of the boys did has found the house they were looking for.

To me, this is one of the most exciting parts in Strange Messages :)

Thanks puffin62 for the extra information. :) It may well be an easy one but I'm still at a loss to answer it! - so I'll have to leave it for someone else. Come on all FFO (+D) fans!

As an additional information, the groups were as follows:

1) Fatty + Bets

2) Larry + Daisy

3) Pip + Ern

And no, it wasn't Fatty who had found out Fairlin House, the current name for The Ivies.
