Well done, Sixret. That’s perfectly correct.

I was originally going to put something different, but in doing my research, I came across this:

If you Google the following, you will find a page about the 1955 puppet series, with some interesting pics (including one of Enid Blyton holding the puppet).

lostmediawiki.com/The_Adventures_of_Noddy_(lost_puppet_TV_series;_1955)

Scroll down further to Footage, and you will see. about half way in, a brief clip of the only surviving footage of part of one episode. (You will probably see Leslie Crowther and Peter Glaze for a few seconds before the Noddy clip starts.)

Over to you, Sixret.

Blimey... they got away with having Noddy deliberately photograph a girl doll in a dress as she was bending over?!?!   (And there we were all thinking golliwogs were the most controversial thing about Noddy...)

Anyway, thanks for sharing that, Dave — very interesting to read about and watch! I remember finding out from one of Enid's editorials in EB Magazine (which Rob has been sharing in another thread) that The Adventures of Noddy was among the earliest programmes shown when television came to Australia in 1956. 8)

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)
