Bom and the quest for the crock of gold at the end of the rainbow. seems to be the answer. The book is called just Bom and the Rainbow.

Dave is right on both accounts, Daisy although I will substitute end with bottom.

Sorry, I meant to put bottom, but I was too hasty. I will look for the next one.

The trouble with your last one, Sixret, was you made it sound like a title rather than a statement, only it's a title that never appeared in that form. So perhaps it was a little misleading. It would have been better as Bom led the quest for the crock of gold at the bottom of the rainbow. As a statement that was true.

That is exactly why I couldn't make sense of it Dave... thanks for explaining it.

Well, Sixret did say it was difficult! :wink: I agree, though — unless it's a title or a direct quote from a book, I would expect it to be a complete sentence.

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Here's the next one:

+++ / +++++ / +++++++ / ++ / +++ / ++++++ / ++++++ ,/ +++ / ++++++++++
/ ++ / +++++, / +++ / ++++++ / +++++, / ++++++ / +++++

Level: off the scale. (Relax. I'm only kidding - or am I?)

I didn't say it was a title at all. From the start until finish, never did I say it was a title. Same goes with "Ern Goon had a dog called Bingo."

Not so many of those, Sixret, you can have three.

[Not wanting to prolong the argument, but your defence of your one, doesn't really hold water. Eddie's was a proper sentence; yours was not - as all the words after the word quest are merely qualifying it. As a matter of syntax, a sentence should consist of a subject, a verb and (unless the verb is intransitive) an object. It doesn't matter how many phrases or clauses qualifying them there are, you can't escape the basics. We know that you did not say yours was a title and that you never intended it to be a title. What I said was that it sounded like a title (because it wasn't a proper sentence). I'm cure that if you consider it, you'll agree.]

Now I understand completely. It was because of my grammar. I am very sorry if my sentence was awkward. English is not my first language. :oops: :oops:
