Daisy, I think it's largely that Pip is so much in the background of the FFO; he and Larry and Daisy have hardly anything memorable or distinctive about them, in comparison with Fatty and Bets. I've been racking my brains trying to think of any adjectives to describe him, let alone ones beginning with the letters of his name!

But on that note, and for what it's worth...

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Thanks for trying Courtenay. I am reading the Mystery series at the moment and am watching out in particular for how much Larry, Daisy and Pip feature prominently. So far I am only in the second book where Larry is still the leader, so naturally he is more to the fore than perhaps later on in the series. I must say I had never thought of any of the characters being dispensable as has been suggested recently. I'll say more when I've read more. This must be about the twentieth re-read of the series to date!

So anyone - come on - KIT ANTHONY ARMSTRONG

Brilliant, Poppy! :D :D :D

(It's too many years since I read Five Go Off in a Caravan, so I'll leave Tiger Dan to someone who's more familiar with him.)

Excellent one, Farwa. :D

I think the rule in this game is that whoever comes up with the acrostic can post the next name immediately, so do go ahead when you're ready.
