Re: Adventure Series, Quiz
How do the kids gather a boat in Sea?
Bill: "I don't know what to say. You're only kids — but you're the finest company of friends anyone could have. You know the meaning of loyalty already, and even if you're scared you don't give up. I'm proud to have you for my friends."

Re: Adventure Series, Quiz
The Question seems to be too difficult, so I try another one:
What's the name of Philip's pet in Ship?

Re: Adventure Series, Quiz
Philip's pet was Micky the monkey. Would you tell us the answer to the previous question Dinah? I'm not quite sure what 'gather a boat' means. Perhaps you mean when they were stranded and they took Horace's boat when he landed on the island?

Exactly, you're right on both accounts. So on to you to the next question!
Yes I did mean how they took Horace's boat when he landed. I might not have used the best words, but that would be because my mother language is German and I don't use the dictionary to write here...

Re: Adventure Series, Quiz
Thank you Dinah. Yes, I appreciate that English is not your first language. I tried to think of other words to replace 'gather' and thought of 'collect' which sort of gave me a clue.
Next question:
What illness were the children suffering from which meant they were able to take a trip to the River of Adventure instead of going back to school?

Maybe you should now pose two questions, Daisy! Do you gather my meaning?
Answer: Measles?

In came the Taggertys. They were clean, except Biddy knees looked like she had been crawling half a mile in some muddy place.
