Is it 10.30pm? If not I think I leave it to someone else to answer...
Bill: "I don't know what to say. You're only kids — but you're the finest company of friends anyone could have. You know the meaning of loyalty already, and even if you're scared you don't give up. I'm proud to have you for my friends."

Nope, it's 9 30 pm. However, as this question has been up for a long time now and no one else has tried, I'll say it's OTY, Dinah!

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Ohh, sorry, I was reading the Famous Five and didn't think. I come back with a question later...

No, the absence of a bedstead was part of the problem.... all they had was a mattress on the floor. Any more ideas anyone?

Oh gosh, I should know, I should know (but I gave away my copy of Island to a fellow forum member, so I couldn't cheat even if I wanted to)... it wasn't the window sill, was it?

No, it wasn't well enough furnished for that! (I get the feeling there may not have been any light at all in that room.)

Was it a basin edge, or a sink or washing up bowl?
