The moon shone so bright on the meadow
When Fatty came out of his shed-o
He gazed at the stars
When Fatty came out of his shed-o
He gazed at the stars

Through his 'binocu-lars'
Till a coconut fell on his head-o.
(no, don't ask me what the coconut was doing growing in Peterswood... that's just how it came to me )

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Well that has made me laugh! I didn't think it would be so hard Rob, but well done all of you! And the coconut could have been thrown at Fatty! I know some people would enjoy doing that.

Actualy the meadow rhyme made it very entertaining to do!
'Oh voice of Spring of Youth
hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'

Re: Can We Do a Limerick Together???
Hmmm, I can just see it... The Mystery of the Deadly Coconut. Fatty is hospitalised with head injuries after the coconut hits him (seriously, those things can kill ); the other Find-Outers visit him daily, of course, but with their brilliant leader unable to contribute directly and unable to remember much about the actual incident, can Larry, Daisy, Pip and Bets (and Buster) find out who hurled that coconut at Fatty's bonce — and why? There's the temptation to put Goon down as the prime suspect, of course, but would that upstanding officer of the law really stoop so low? Or could there be someone else with a reason for wanting Master Frederick Algernon Trotteville out of the picture...??Daisy wrote:And the coconut could have been thrown at Fatty! I know some people would enjoy doing that.
(Sorry, got a bit carried away there. )

Would love to know who was the culprit, limerick style. Be creative.
