NEW STORY FOR 2017 BY YOU!.

Just add a line or two at a time.

The Mystery Of The Sunken Houseboat

It was a blazing hot day in Peterswood. In fact it was so hot that Fatty suggested that The Find Outers go for a dip and cool off in the nearby river.

They dived and splashed in a cool part of the river in which a large Weeping Willow grew majestically over the bank of the river.
Larry's waterproof wristwatch slipped off his wrist, and as he quickly peered down into the clear depths below to track it's fall he spotted something that gave him quite a shock.
" A kind heart always brings its own reward," said Mrs. Lee.

"Hey" he called to the others, "what's this?" and he pointed down to where his watch had fallen.

It was a boat.In very good condition. It looked like it had only sunk in the crystal clear river very recently.
Larry could even make out the name of the boat, painted prominently on the side: ‘ SACRAMENTUM XVI'.

"Lets dive down to take be better look" proposed Larry. The others find that a very good idea, with the exception of Bets as she wasn't as good as the others at diving.

... lifebelt. He stood on the bank, ready to throw it if Larry or anyone else dared to dive into the cold water... or was it in order to stop them before they explored any further?

As Ern stood there waving the lifebelt, he suddenly saw that there was a large split along the side - that wouldn't be much use then! As he stared at the split, his heart began pounding excitedly! Inside the split someone had pushed a folded up piece of paper!
'Oh voice of Spring of Youth
hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'

Excitedly, he pulled the folded and somewhat crumpled paper from the lifebelt. Dropping the belt, he held the paper in his hand and then very carefully began to unfold it. His heart was beating fast as he flattened it out.
