The moment of truth - who are these young scallywags?

Here goes:

6. Eddie
7. Aurélien
8. Ming

10. Shadow

12. Pippa-Stef
13. Anita

Well done to everyone who had a go at guessing. Before I revealed the names of those who submitted photos, most people had already managed to identify 6 - 8 of the young rascals correctly. Congratulations to Eddie, who had the top score of 9! :D People who identified themselves wrongly on purpose can give themselves a bonus point (which would make Eddie's score 10).

Once I gave out the list of names, we did have one person who managed to name everyone - and that was Daisy! :D Well done, Daisy - a real case of "Daisy pulls it off"!

I stand by what I said in an earlier post, that I did not recognise myself as No 3! I found a few old photo albums that I had never seen before and it seemed that in the late 40s we had family holidays in Swanage every year, something that I was unaware of!! Perhaps as I paddled in the sea, Enid was watching me!!

Thank you for your congratulations, Anita. :D I did much better in the competition than I thought I would!

Well, old Aurélien did reasonably well....9 correct if you forgive my deliberate mis-identification of my own photo. Would have got 10 correct if only I'd stuck to my original identification of Daisy as #11. ( Sorry, Daisy, I goofed. )

  • Anita, many thanks for all the trouble you took with this contest.

Gosh! - as Enid's children might say. There were one or two guesses, but it certainly was easier when we had a list of who to choose from! The accolade should really be Eddie's. Well done Eddie. I guessed Aurélien because he had short sleeves at Christmas - it had to be the other side of the world I thought.
Thank you Anita - that was a bit of fun.

Well done Eddie. I think I got 6 (plus me). I'm kicking myself for getting Daisy and Shadow mixed up, as the style of dresses really should have given me the clue. I was pleased I got Aurelien right, even before the list of names was given out. I hadn't spotted the short sleeves, but to me the photo had an American feel about it, and I believe that people 'down under' have a closer link to the States than the UK.

Well done to Lucky Star who guessed me correctly before the names were issued. A good bit of detective work - or a lucky guess?

Great game. Well done, Daisy and Eddie. Funny how we all knew that no 3 was Tony! Despite the fact that he didn't recognise himself! I guess if you'd got that woolly swimsuit wet, Tony, you'd have fell out of it!

I thought the Christmas one was Aurelien, but it didn't register about the short sleeves at Christmas. Well thought out, Daisy.

It was much easier having all the names, and looking at the answers and what most of us put, nearly everyone's guesses were excellent. :)

Thanks for doing that Anita. It's always an enjoyable game. :D

Most interesting! As I wouldn't recognise most of the people today, I wouldn't have had much chance of recognising them as children! I had many visits to Swanage, as a child, Tony; so maybe Enid was watching us both! :D

More than likely, Nigel!

Why didn't you submit a photo for the competition?

I thought Matthew Roberts at number 9 was a little girl.  Sorry Matt. Very enjoyable competition. Tony fooled me with his non recognition bit; I was sure it was him but decided to put it as Eddie instead.

 I have to second Julie's praise of your detective work on that one, Daisy. You used the old noggin to good effect. Well done, you.
