Five Run Away Together - for the suspense of the Five being compelled to leave Kirrin Cottage, the fun of their revisiting Kirrin Island and camping out (the first time this happens in the series), and the magnificent showdowns - Julian's confrontation and later the animal noises fiasco - with the gloriously awful Sticks and Stinker!!

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)
