Path: The long river path Eunice gets lost on in 'The Mystery of the Missing Man' - which must have been somewhere near Bourne End! :-D

Parcel:
'Oh voice of Spring of Youth
hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'

(E. Blyton, Sunday Times, 1951)

Parcel: Or perhaps wooden boxes? Whichever. Those things filled with counterfeit money bills dropped onto Mystery Moor from a plane flying in from France. Those things found by chance by the Five.

Whistle: I think I'm right (I know Rob will be able to correct me if I'm not) that this is in Adventure of the Strange Ruby — Pat has a special way of whistling that he uses to catch the attention of the kidnapped twins, Faith and David, as they're being held prisoner in Brinkin Towers.

Gypsy: Fatty disguising as a gypsy-woman in The Mystery of the Vanished Prince. When he takes off his disguise he accidentally leaves the earrings in his ears, leading Mrs. Hilton to stare at him in astonishment and say, "Well, really, Frederick, I cannot approve of your jewellery!"

Can we make it a hairpin like the ones in Mam'zelle's hair that came off onto the magnet in "Last Term at Malory Towers"?

Yes - that's a good one, Snugglepot! :D

Train: The train that Hop drives in The Enid Blyton Book of Brownies, which has a "Go fast" wheel but doesn't appear to have any brakes:

"The train tore downhill again, then up and then down once more. The carriages followed in a rattling row, while all the passengers shrieked and shouted. Stations raced by, but the train didn't seem to think of stopping anywhere."

Toad:

Toad: One of my favourite Enid Blyton poems, The Friendly Toad:

I am a toad, a friendly thing,
I eat your slugs and flies,
I know I'm ugly, brown and squat -
But have you seen my eyes?
Just look at them, like jewels rare,
Gleaming in my head,
I watch you with them as I sit
Upon your garden bed.
Please like me, little boy and girl,
I can't help how I grew,
I've got to be a toad, you know,
And you've got to be you!

Carriage: The carriages the Adventure children slept in on their way to Scotland with the strange "Dr Walker" and how Lucy-Ann didn't like going from one carriage to the next in case they suddenly parted company. (I remember feeling a bit like that when I was a bit younger than Lucy-Ann!)
