People have done so from time to time and yes, I agree it would make this more interesting.Dinah Cunningham wrote: (I was wondering if it would be interesting to write why the book was chosen?)

The Secret Island or The Valley of Adventure?
I chose Island because it is so unique in the Blyton canon whereas the sixth FF book is merely a good read.

The Valley of Adventure
or
Five run away together?
I found it very difficult to decide, as I really like Island but I like the Adventure-Kids more and I like the Valley and their farn-cave.

Re: Which book do you prefer?
I think Valley would just win my vote as it is more exciting and dangerous - both books feature a cave where the children "live" for a while though, which is interesting. I hadn't thought of that similarity before.

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

I prefer Five go off to Camp as it has an unusual setting and a very exciting and at times quite scary story. At least it was scary when I read it as an 11 year old.

None of the two are my favourites, but I think Fall wins, only because Jo is such an interesting character.

Castle because I love its dark brooding atmosphere and thrilling plot.
The Castle of Adventure vs The Six Bad Boys.

Re: Which book do you prefer?
Oh goodness me - what a contrast. On the whole, I think I'd have to choose Six Bad Boys. It is unique rather than one of a series, and the subject is dealt with very well.

Sorry for the contrast. It just jumped into my head.
I'll go for Six Bad Boys again as it's the only one of the two that I have read.
The Six Bad Boys or The Treasure Hunters?

Re: Which book do you prefer?
Don't apologise.... It makes it more interesting if the books are not too similar. Again you make another good suggestion.. those 2 books are both so good and completely different. I'll go for The Treasure Hunters this time. A nice story.
