That would be...er...good Pete...but sadly I don't have any means of recording my voice to computer (he said hopefully!)
Trouble is, I would never use my proper voice, but my actor's voice - as I hate my 'Brummie' lilt - and I use so many different voices for characters that sometimes I don't even know what my 'real voice' is!

Whose voice is that, Pete? I normally have a tough time to understand most of British accents and dialects but I can understand the audio without any problem. However, the voice is so “windy” at certain parts. I do not know how to describe it. Sometimes it goes so low it is almost like the sound of wind. How very apt with the setting is near the sea!

Many thanks for all the positive feedback, it is most appreciated.
I've been listening to the BBC Radio 4 dramatization of
'The House At World's End' on youtube this week and suddenly decided to try out creating an audio book myself.

I used my first take of reading the book and it would probably benefit from being read again more carefully.
Would still like to hear you read you own work Rob - your accent can't be any worse than my own monotonous up 't north flat drawl surely!

Your reading wasn't a monotonous flat drawl at all, Pete — I thought it was very clear, well-paced, expressive and sensitive. It made the story even more moving and enjoyable.

I'll have to look into it! I don't even know how to begin with recording audio in a digital format!

I have already commented elsewhere on the little story, Pete, but your telling it, complete with sound effects, makes it even more special - very touching indeed.
