I would probably have bought the digital version if I had a tablet or e-reader, but I don't, and my laptop, while brilliant for many things, isn't so good for reading e-books on!
Personally I think the print versions of any book are better than e-versions! Thank you for buying it Courtenay. :-)

I don't get much commission, but at least its all profit, as I also don't have to pay anything out, so I guess any commission is good! 8)

I just wonder - if you're earning money with your book, don't you have to pay taxes? Or is it already included (or rather excluded) from your royalties?

I’ve written a review on the Amazon website, Rob. I hope it helps. :D

You have to sign an online tax declaration form - but its unlikely I'll ever be taxed on it, as I would have to earn a great deal! I'm not working full time - only the occasional job as an 'extra' so it's unlikely I'd earn as much as £11,500 a year, which is when taxable income kicks in.

I make about 68p on each book that's sold, and about £1.25 on each ebook! 8)

Thank you to all those who have bought a copy, both paperback and ebook. :-D I can see what I've sold by going into my 'author portal' lol!

I'm now considering other books to try...I have a children's picture book, and 'early reader' type children's book, a children's ghost story book I wrote years ago, another children's story involving time travel and ghosts, and several adult sagas etc, so I have a few to choose from! Will have to retype most of them and edit them first though, so quite a big job. That's why I put 'the Last Summer' on first, as it needed the least work doing to it. :-)

I really like the sound of these two Rob.

I'm thinking of retyping 'Dark Hall' next which is my novel for older children about ghosts and time travel. Trouble is, it needs a lot of editing! :-)

Good for you for Rob! I'm barely managing to read anything at the moment, too tired and not enough concentration. Maybe in a few months (or years!?) I can give your book a go.

I'll let you know, Eddie, of course! :-D The trouble is, I have about 10 or 12 children's novels, most finished, a couple not completed, mostly ghost/time travel, fantasy or historical, which is my 'thing' - but I can't decide which one to concentrate on yet, as they all have merits and all need editing rather savagely! It might be a big job.

Thank you for your lovely review, 'Nigel'. ;-)

As if that's a trouble! I'm pleased that Julie's published book has spurred you on to consider publishing so many books, Rob: I look forward to reading them. :D

My copy arrived today! :D It's beautifully printed, too — I'm impressed. I was half afraid that a "print on demand" book would look just like it had been hastily run off and stuck together, but this one looks very professional. Thanks, Rob — I'll look forward to reading it.

Nope! I have no idea who - or what - that is, to be honest - I don't think its real! :? I saw one the other day that said 'used' but there was nothing there when I looked.
