I have the first six books in the series, all lovely House of Stratus paperbacks: Jennings Goes to School, Jennings Follows a Clue, Jennings' Little Hut, Jennings and Darbishire, Jennings' Diary and According to Jennings. Haven't got round to reading them yet, but maybe after I've got done with the Bulldog Drummond series, I might tackle Jennings next. Looks like the volume being advertised by Amazon UK is a compilation of the first four books.
Best Regards

What other author are you reading at the moment?

Split from another topic.

Splitting ones sides reading Jennings Goes To School by Anthony Buckeridge. One feels sorry for his Housemaster.

All the books in the Jennings series are great, Jo. I used to read them to my classes when I was teaching and I wrote to Anthony Buckeridge to tell him how much my pupils enjoyed his books. He replied by return of post saying:

"It was good of you to take the time to tell me about your own reactions to the Jennings books and to know that the books can still work well when read aloud to an audience of today's schoolchildren!"

The letter is dated 26th February 2000 and was sent from Anthony's home address in Barcombe Mills, East Sussex. :D

Just finished Jennings Follows a Clue 1951/1967 Collins hardback where Mr Carter makes the mistake of introducing Sherlock Holmes to our super impulsive but good hearted ten year old star with hilarious results.

This has inspired me to read Jennings Follows A Clue again.
That's one of the best things about the forum of course...reading posts about things you can identify with, and about books you have enjoyed. I don't get much chance to discuss these subjects anywhere else.
