I thought you are reading Rat-A-Tat? :?:
I'm reading it too, although agreeing with those who feel it just isn't the same. I suppose it just couldn't be!-Daisy

Latest book - is there a new one then? I have searched but can't find one. :|
Operation Blackout is his latest book.

I'm reading that as well. One chapter per night, then discussing it with Dick Kirrin the following day.

Thanks, sixret. I had obviously misunderstood Tony's post - not for the first time!

It's a pity they are not available as ebooks. I have a relatively strict rule against physical books, for lack of space.

I've just bought the first book 'Paradise Barn' from ebay in very good condition for the princely sum of £2.39.
It looks a great series.Thank you for the recommendation.

Wonder why the books aren't available to buy on kindle?

Anita Bensoussane wrote: Paradise Barn is good but I think each new title in the main series of four books is even better than the last. On finishing the series I found it a wrench to leave the characters after getting to know them so well. There's a fifth title called Operation Blackout which is a spin-off. It goes back in time a few years and revolves mainly around different characters but it's a great read too.
I agree with you entirely about the main series of the four books, Anita. I still have Operation Blackout to read. I'm sure you'll enjoy the first book, Pete. :D

I really enjoyed all four, which I read in succession. I'm taking them on Saturday to my two Chalet friends who heard Victor Watson speak at a conference. I haven't got Operation Blackout though. I will look out for it, but not very earnestly!

I'm glad quite a few people here have read/are reading the Paradise Barn books and have enjoyed them. I agree that it's a brilliant series, Eddie, and I hope your friends like the books, Daisy. Everyone a Stranger is my favourite title but the four main books need to be read in order as some threads run through the series and the gradual character development is subtle but significant.

It is strange that they're not available as e-books.

I've got Operation Blackout but I forgot all about it!
I agree with comments by others, each book is better than the previous one. A wonderful series.
